When MuchMusic first hit the airwaves back in August 31, 1984, I was glued to the TV to see everything they had to offer. MuchMusic was more than just music videos, they were a gateway to everything current and exciting, introducing fans to different artists, styles and genres from their innovative, fun studio on Queen Street in Toronto. Presenting the latest hits in a new fresh video format along with producing innovative original programming, MuchMusic VJ's like Erica Ehm guided us through everything cutting edge in Canada and beyond, bringing in a new spirit and era of broadcasting that showed us the new way to "see" music.

Erica Ehm joined the station in 1984 and was was one of MuchMusic's original V.J's. Over the next ten years, Erica was a big part of how "The Nation's Music Station" introduced this new exciting media form across Canada.

As one of the premier hosts of the station, she interviewed such legendary performers as Chrissie Hynde, The Cars, U2, Duran Duran and The Tragically Hip just to name a few.

Erica left the station in 1994 and since has had an ever evolving and changing career as an entrepreneur, author, publisher, actress, radio host, public speaker, music writer and producer, as well as winning multiple Juno and Canadian Country Music awards.

Part One and Two of this interview with Erica are just a small sample of the great No Sleep Til Sudbury podcasts that you need to hear. A must for Canadian music fans. Check them all out here!
