Leave it to Canadian ingenuity! Les Givrés, a Montreal Ice Cream Company has done something incredible. In one delicious motion, they have saluted a Montreal classic, created an amazing new flavour and solidified every justification to have ice cream for breakfast. Ladies and Gentlemen...Bagel Ice Cream!!!
Les Givrés bagel ice cream sounds like the perfect breakfast main or perhaps a daring compliment to your daily coffee. It has a cream cheese base with strawberry jam and croutons made from sesame seed bagels. Definitely it is in a different class than your standard run-of the-mill grocery store freezer section Neapolitan.
Les Givrés is know for their unique flavours like corn roast, black garlic , candied plum, coffee(yes!!), and licorice ice cream. As well they have a "Campfire" ice cream as well that is flavoured with, of course, toasted marshmallow . And if you aren't that adventurous...they have chocolate and vanilla, which in theory is still ok for breakfast, but not as fun.
I am always up for trying anything new when it comes to ice cream, especially when it's promoted as part of the most important meal of the day. I present this challenge to the intrepid folks at Les Givrés; A Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich Ice Cream.... I dare you!!
