French Fry Fryday (see what we did there?)!

It may not be a call to arms in this time of crisis but it is a call nevertheless. It is time for Canadians to step up and eat more french fries!

It would appear that as a result of the closure of restaurants and the reduction in the use of fast food joints during the pandemic there is a veritable MOUNTAIN of french fry potatoes going uneaten. Almost 90m kgs of potatoes to be precise!

"How can we respond to the call?" you ask. Simple. Eat french fries twice a week. How difficult can that be? Let's face it, one of our national dishes begins with delicious french fries!

We at GCCB HQ believe this to be a call we can all answer and in fact we're enjoying some tonight on this French Fry Fryday! Why don't you?
