Eddie Shack was a true original. Well known as "The Entertainer", he was truly one of the greatest personalities that ever played in the NHL. To celebrate the return of hockey tonight and to honour his legacy, it's time for Round One of The GCCB.ca Shack Cup: Fantasy Hub Contest.
FIRST PRIZE for the winner of The GCCB Shack Cup is one of our stylish coffee mugs and more importantly Eddie's original 1961 Parkie Hockey card as seen here.
HOW TO ENTER
Each of the 5 rounds of the contest will see two classic NHL teams face off against each other (starting Aug 1). Each round will be posted here on the GCCB.ca.
Decide which of the two teams would win and then explain why by commenting on our Facebook post for that round.
The comment that receives the most likes from our community for each round will be posted on a Leader Board here on the site.
The comment that receives the most likes overall from any of the 5 rounds will become the victorious winner of The GCCB Shack Cup!
Here's Round Three:
1951 Toronto Maple Leafs Vs. 1995 New Jersey Devils
Perhaps the most controversial matchup of the Shack Cup! Broda vs Brodeur! Bentley, Kennedy, Sloan, Smith and Barilko up against, Richer, MacLean, Broten, Guerin and Lemieux. As far as I'm concerned just having a goalie with the quality handle of Turk Broda should secure the win!
