Help Wanted - Australia Wants To Pay You To Live On A Tropical Island!

Ok, we have all said it. This social distancing thing would have been so much easier if we had been living on a sunny, deserted, tropical island. The government of Australia is now giving one lucky applicant the chance to make that dream come true!!

Australias's Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority just posted a full-time position of live-in caretaker for the beautiful and isolated island of Low Isles. Surrounded by The Great Barrier Reef, Low Isles is located 9 miles off the coast of Port Douglas in Queensland. Low Isles isn't short on sunshine, sand and sea!

Don't expect a cake walk though, this posting will require some elbow grease to earn this slice of paradise! The caretaker will be responsible for important tasks of maintaining buildings, liaising with tourist operators, cleaning toilets, grounds works, and counting bird populations.

“The caretakers live in paradise on a tropical island surrounded by the Great Barrier Reef — but maintaining an island is hard work and remote island living means limiting electricity and water use which may not suit everyone,”

stated Marine Park Authority Assistant Director Reef Conservation Actions Dr. Mark Read.

The deadline to apply is September25th, so my application is already in, and I have prescheduled a airdrop of Ceasar ingredients weekly for my well deserved down time. I'm not encouraging any competition, but you can read more about the Los Isles Caretaker position at the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority website. As well you can send in your application here.
