It's Summer In Canada...The Perfect Time For Some NEW Kim Mitchell!

If you are like me, I used to measure my summers by going to see Kim Mitchell wherever he was playing, whenever I could. The former Max Webster front man and, as far as I am concerned, the Mayor of Rockland at Wonderland, would always be one of the highlights of my summer concert plans.

I first saw Kim Mitchell way back in 1985 at Guelph Memorial Gardens, with another great Canadian band Orphan (If you have never heard of them, please check them out, they were cool.) Since then I have been a die hard fan, seeing him everywhere from Oshawa to the now defunct Lulu's Roadhouse in Kitchener.

Kim is a Canadian treasure with an amazing roster of songs that have become anthems that get even better when you see him live. Kim has signed to the new label El Mocambo Records and is releasing his new record "The Big Fantasize" just in time for the summer we need rock the most!

It was also announced in February that Kim Mitchell is going to be inducted into the The Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame. Here is another reason why. Take a Great Canadian Coffee Break and listen to a new song "Wishes", from Kim's new record "The Big Fantasize"!

As well, please check out the other great No Sleep Til Sudbury podcasts, a must for Canadian music fans.
