Few people seem to be aware that Canada had its own Tiger King long before Joe Exotic even began to purr. Tiger King is actually an understatement, as Jon Mikl Thor is so much more than that. Canada's own God of Thunder is superhero, rocker, actor, performer and iron bar bending powerhouse rolled into one.
You haven't heard of Jon Mikl Thor? Hung up on Chris Hemsworth's version? Bah! Let us gladly introduce you to Jon Mikl Thor (pictured below in case it isn't obvious!).
Formerly Mr. Canada and the only guy to have also been crowned Mr. USA too, Jon Mikl launched his metal band Thor in the early 1970s. You may actually recall their ear-worm classic Keep the Dogs Away in 1976.
If not, get ready to be humming this for the rest of the day! You're Welcome Canada.
Sadly, we think it's even less likely you know another one of Thor's hits that has become of great interest to us, the metal 'classic', Catch a Tiger. The Great Canadian Coffee Break team are united in their belief that this track should become the theme song for the new Tiger King TV series which has been optioned by CBS Television Studios and Imagine Television Studios and will star the one and only Nicholas Cage!
We need to show the world, once again, that our Thunder God rules, and Canada ROCKS!
