Lockdown Blues? Take A Great Canadian Zombie Break!

These strange and challenging times have been compared with the Zombie Apocalypse, just with a lot less biting. There is only so much Tiger King we can watch,(a good thing right?)!

Here are the GCCB's suggestions for some home grown Zombie offerings to sample. Lucky for us, these are all available on either Netflix or Amazon Prime right now! Let's look at a few of the best Great White Undead offerings, made right here in Canada!

Ravenous

(Les Affamés)-2017

Zombies invade Quebec in this Toronto Film Festival award winner with amazing makeup, and was described as the French language "The Night of The Living Dead". A real standout movie.

Zombie Nightmare-1986

What do you get when you combine Canadian powerhouse Jon Mikl Thor* with Adam West and Zombies? Eighties gold of course!! It's Cheese, but the very best kind.

* to just drop Jon Mikl Thor's name like this does him a huge injustice. Stay tuned for a post dedicated to Canada's OWN Thunder God....Chris Hemsworth who?!?!

Land of the Dead-2005

The father of the Zombie movie as we know it, George A. Romero, chose to create this new chapter in his undead series here in Canada. As always, George's zombie film's reflection on modern culture still hold up.

Dawn of The Dead-2004

Shot in Thornhill, Ontario, and starring Canadian actress, writer, and director Sarah Polley, this remake of George Romero's 1978 Zombies in a mall classic, launched filmmaker Zack Snyder's career.

Every early morning can feel like the Dawn of the Dead. Coffee is critical to shake off that zombie mode and get that first Great Canadian Coffee Break of the day.

Undead, dead or even flatlining, is not what we want for Canadian companies during these weird times. We suggest visiting Deadly Grounds Coffee Canada to supply you with what you need for your zombie approved, undead movie marathon, Cup of "George".
