One of the best things you could ever read by Scott, is his novel Two Generals. A personal favourite, it is the story of Scott’s grandfather Law Chantler, and his experience in WW2. A story of friendship, courage and what it was like for the everyman on the frontline of the Allied Invasion. It is fantastically illustrated, a great story, and easy to escape into. It was also voted as one of CBC’s Canada Reads, 40 best non-fiction books of all time. Something I like to revisit every Remembrance Day.
Scott’s newest graphic biography is Bix, the story of Jazz legend Leon “Bix” Beiderbecke and his climb to fame and the personal demons that caused his tumble down from its mantle. Released April 28, 2020.
