Bobby Clarke retires from the NHL in 1984 as a player, but goes on to be the new General Manager of the Philadelphia Flyers.

Guy Lafleur scores the game winning goal, sweeping the Flyers in the 1976 Stanley Cup finals and secure the Habs their 19th Stanley Cup championship.














The New York Islanders become the first U.S. based team to win three straight Stanley Cups when Mike Bossy scores twice against Vancouver, in game four of the 1982 Finals.

Ken Dryden becomes the first goalie in NHL history to score a point in the Stanley Cup Finals, assisting Jacques Lemaire's winning goal against the Rangers, in Game 3 of the 1979 Finals.














Mike Bossy sets an NHL record in Game 3 of the 1981 Stanley Cup Finals with his 30th point of the playoffs with the Islanders 7-5 win against The Minnesota North Stars, breaking Bryan Trottier's previous record of 29.
