I think we'd all agree that the news cycle never stops. One of the reasons we launched The Great Canadian Coffee Break was to bring 'to the top' some of the good news stories in Canada that we felt were getting buried under the kind of news that had us shaking our heads.
However, if you do want to stay up to date with the more serious side of the news then this week's podcast recommendation, The Big Story, has been designed to slow it down for you and provide some important context that may have you looking at the news somewhat differently.
According to their website, co-host "Jordan Heath-Rawlings has been wading through the news for 15 years, and he knows how confusing, painful, terrifying and ridiculous it can be—sometimes all in the same story. Every weekday morning he’ll serve up an in-depth conversation on a story that matters to Canadians with some of the country’s best journalists and thinkers."
