For those of us with children in our lives taking a break can be a little more of a challenge! I recall when ours were really small that finishing a whole cup of coffee before it was cold felt like quite an achievement.
Sometimes, to take a break for ourselves we need to find something to occupy the hearts and minds of our youngsters. We heartily recommend throwing on a podcast in times like these....whether you are at home or in the car it works just as well. And The Story Store from CBC is a perfect example of a great podcast that will give you at least 20 mins of time to enjoy a piping hot cup of coffee!
Featuring some fantastic celebrity cameos and humor that might appeal to the grown ups too, The Story Store takes 'orders' from real kids and turns their suggestions into fun adventures and at the end of each episode there are a couple of discussion questions to really get the family talking (hopefully you've finished your coffee by then!).
